at the moment i have a pajero 7 seater. im in the process of selling it . wife wants a ford galaxy. no i have been looking and if i get one i would want the 1.9 td

now the question is what sort of things should i look out for . and i have notice is you can get a 110 and a 115 and even a 130 is the engine the same but tuned ??

i want the new shape one 2001 or a 2002. like the inside better . so with all the galaxy models out there which one is the best and what can i expect the mph to me like

thanks

hey thanks . very good read . but what about the engines . is a 2002 2003 a mark 2 or 3 and does the 2002 car have a ford engine or vw engine

also on a normal run what mph would i expect

All Mk1 and Mk2 TDI's are VW lumps the only Ford lump in the early models was the 2.3 petrol, it's only the very latest Mk3 (07) that has Ford lumps under the hood  Edited by wolfie

so what about the differant bhp why do you get 110 115 and the 130 engines and how can you tell if your getting the 115 or 130

also what sort of mpg do these cars do

115 diesel which is what i have...i usually average in the high forties mpg..though i can hit about 53mpg.

Do a search as mpg has been covered extensively for all models.

as for if you are getting the 110/115/130.......the seller will be able to tell you or look in the documents for the car.

diff engines=diff models.

I wanted a new shape one and nearly bought a 2001 Alhambra TDI SE, it was a really good spec but the Ford dealer was a lying scumbag, they didn't know how much power it made & I overheard one of them say "tell the customer whatever as he wont know the difference", cheeky gits. So I bought a private 1999 Galaxy TDI GhiaX for less than half the price! Well chuffed!
